1999Hilton Hotels Corporation acquired Promus Hotel Corporation. Hilton HHonors program became available at the following brands: Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hampton Inn, and Homewood Suites by Hilton.

2000Hilton HHonors and Sumitomo Mitsui Card Co. Ltd. launched two co-branded credit card products available for residents of Japan. Hilton HHonors and Citibank launch a co-brand credit card for residents of the United States. All three credit cards allowed members the opportunity to earn Hilton HHonors bonus points for Hilton Family stays and everyday purchases.

2001Dedicated Diamond VIP Desk opened for HHonors Diamond members.

2003Hilton HHonors announced that members could earn Gold or Diamond VIP status based on their annual base point earnings.

Hilton HHonors enhanced onsite customer service at Hilton Family of Hotels with OnQTM, which improved guest recognition at check-in with personalized greetings and provided more enhanced levels of service based on real-time access to guest preferences, information about Hilton HHonors guest reward program membership status and past and future guest stays across all brands.

Hilton HHonors introduced Double Dip® Earnings Style Options to give members more flexibility in terms of how they want to earn points and/or miles for their stays at Hilton Family hotels.

Hilton HHonors announced its first online auction, where members bid points towards an outstanding prize package. The highest bidder donated the winning point value to the philanthropic group of his or her choice, supported by the Hilton HHonors Giving Back program.

Hilton HHonors launched the online Hilton HHonors Rewards Store, the industry's premier merchandise redemption offering, where U.S. members are able to redeem their points for a plethora of products, from golf clubs to high-definition TVs.
